Chellsys Skin Care Therapist Diploma Program offers students extensive theoretical and practical applications of skin care. The objective of this Diploma is intended to provide fundamental knowledge on the structure of the skin at a cellular, anatomical, physiological and histological level. Students will acquire hands-on experience delivering advanced treatments which will form the basis for a career as a Skin Care Specialist. Students will gain an excessive amount of practical experience on live models in Chellsey’s MediSpa where they will practice client care, consultations, skin analysis and delivery of advanced facial treatments and exfoliation treatments using microdermabrasion technology and chemical peels.

Program Duration

  • 420 hours
  • Morning class ( Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm)
  • Evening class (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Requirements

  • Gr.12 OSSD/High School Graduate or Mature Student Status (18 Ontario, 19 out of province)
  • Successful completion of entrance evaluation
  • Admissions interview

What Will I Learn?

1. Basic Skin Care – 260 hrs
Advanced Facial Treatments Using State-of-the-Art Technology and Electrical Equipment

  •  Anatomy & Physiology of the Skin
  •  Skin Analysis and Client Consultation
  • Skin Types, Conditions and Pathologies
  •  Facial Procedures Designed for Different Skin Types Including European Basic, Advanced, Acne, Men’s, Teen’s and Mini Facial
  •  Massage Techniques, Stimulation, Relaxation and Deep Penetration to Address Different Skin Conditions
  •  European Relaxation Massage for Face, Neck and Decollate
  •  Extractions, Steam, Mask Therapy

2. Advanced Skin Care – 160 hrs

  •  Lactic, Salicylic and Glycolic Peels & Acne treatments
  • Ultrasound Treatments
  •  Aromatherapy Facial: Oxygenating & Detoxifying
  •  Acne Facials- Dermo-Purifying with Propolis
  •  Non-Surgical Face Lifting – anti wrinkle intensive treatments for mature skin
  •  Microdermabrasion & Pigmentation Treatments
  •  Eye and Neck Treatments
  •  Rosacea Treatment
